A4 8E 2002> Sniper 8 System

LLTEK Motorsports offers the Sniper 8 exhaust systems for the 2002> Audi A4 8E models. The specifications below are the targeted design elements for the Audi A4 1.8T. The 3.0 liter systems differ slightly. Specifications are subject to change.

Never has there been as unique a design and concept exhaust system as LLTEK's new high performance 5^th generation "Tuner Series" for the 2002> Audi A4. Identified as the TUNER SERIES "Sniper 8", for the very first time, customers can decide and control on their own:

1. tip protrusion length
2. tip extension configuration
3. selection of one or two tips on each side

System Design

The following is a partial list of features under consideration and a basic system overview.

BASIC SYSTEM FEATURES

1. Stainless steel throughout – obviously.
2. Mandrel bends throughout – obviously.
3. 2.25 – 2.50 inch piping in key sections where desirable (dependent on resonance, back pressure and final performance testing).
4. Integrated flex and swivel joints for perfect fit and customization of tip location within various valence exits (not all applications).
5. Low cabin resonation on all systems.
6. Cross resonator baffling system.
7. Cross equalization pipe for pressure equalization on each side (the H pipe).
8. Tension bar adjuster.
9. Adjustable final height hangers to ensure micro adjustment of centering and height.
10. All systems in the "not very loud" category yet each will have a distinct performance sound with a no-nonsense performance tone.
11. User interchangeable Tips.
12. A unique extra performance feature for 1.8 Turbo systems incorporates dual pre-resonance pipes (instead of one like the competition) to reduce Turbo back pressure to a truer tuned level. 3.0 liter systems must have dual pre resonance pipes (one pipe per cylinder bank).
13. Front "slip and swivel" joints for extra adjustment level.
14. A stainless 2.5" Mandrel bent downpipe is a standard performance part of each 1.8T system. 3.0 liter systems have a different design.
15. All clamps in stainless steel.
16. Downpipe flange laser cut to ensure a perfect airtight fit.
17. Final tip position in relation to Audi rear valence is user selectable.
18. Dual Adjustable Tips
19. One hidden matching exit stub on each end muffler ready to accept the second tip for a Quad tip design.

Sniper 8 Exhaust System Illustrated

General:

The Sniper 8 system is designed as a high performance replacement exhaust system with one 3.5 adjustable exit tip per side. A key design effort on all Sniper 8 systems is the moderately adjustable height mechanism to adjust tip exit points. We have worked hard to try to create correct exhaust/rear valence fitment and alignment with many of LLTek's European suppliers. While we cannot guarantee a perfect alignment with all of our suppliers' rear valences, we will strive to make future adjustment as flexible as possible. We anticipate North American release of at least four rear valences that will fit the USA bumper correctly. European valences will not fit on a USA bumper. Note: Although the adjustment feature is designed for micro adjustment, macro adjustments can be made at any muffler shop to fit the new valences, if nec essary. Normal install time is about 1 hour - dependant on skill set. All systems have undergone 2 months of testing and limited track testing. Each System has been designed to work with a modified or standard ECU.

Quad Exhausts : JEDESIGN, Concept and Rieger

Summary:

1. When used with the factory Audi rear valence, two adjustable 3.5 tips will extend beyond valence exhaust channels.
2. Convert your tips to quad mode using the stock Audi rear valence and install the custom frame to create a very clean professional look. (Frame TBA)
3. Protect your exhaust system investment if you plan on a future purchase of a custom rear valence by using the height adjustment feature for correct tip positioning. While we cannot guarantee this feature will work on all rear valences, we believe several will be easily accommodated.
4. Downpipe is included and is an integral design part on each 1.8T system.
5. If you choose only a dual tip look (factory look with LLTEK exhaust and tips), the other two tips are hidden and become fully functional at a later date should you choose this option.

If you decide you do not want to upgrade to a new exhaust system, consider our new "overtip option". Installs in minutes (DIY). These 3.5 inch beauties will beef up the rear of your car.These tips also work very well with the Zender valence addition. These custom tips are $132 per set. They are the only tips that can slide over your OEM Audi tips and are custom made for the 8E 2002-A4 Audi and 3.0 liter 2002 A6.
